All low miles, all say no accidents, yet, the listing prices are strangely low for what they are. I check all the online car selling websites daily as I'm looking for a Tesla. These were all just listed yesterday. Contacted one to see what they say. Has to be salvaged/rebuilt cars right?

Thoughts?

My attorney advised me that it’s fine to go along with these guys, UNTIL they ask for money! DON’T give them any money until you physically examine the car. It’s a virtual certainty that you will never see the vehicle in person. I have experience with these folks and I’m confident you’re getting scammed.

Yeah that, and, have the legal title in hand in exchange for the money.

Why would anyone sell a car below what they could get someone to just come pick it up? If they were real, owners could sell them to Vroom or places like CarMax or Carvana. There is either something really wrong with these cars, or they are a complete scam. The latter is more likely. Often, these types of scams use scraped images from past "for sale" ads, then try to get away with as much cash as they can squeeze from their marks as deposits or reservation fees.

I saw one of the Model X's on TrueCar at $32k and reached out a week ago, to see what they would do... They actually reply back (in this case, they said they were relocating to Ireland and had their car in Ohio, ready to ship).. They said they'd use some Escrow website, and sent a link.. But, of course, it's a phishing scam... They purchased a domain "en-us.website" and sent a link to a "PaySafeEscrow" website, but it ended in "en-us.website," instead of ".com." I'm sure there are some unsuspecting victims of scams like this, which is sad.

I did exchange another e-mail with them, and they replied.. but, at that point, I thought I'd stop and just report it... But, of course, a free e-mail service provider and one in Belgium... Didn't bother trying to trace anything, as it was about 4am, and I was busy planning a trip.

I’ve seen equally bogus Tesla’s advertised on Craigslist. Guess they are hoping to steal deposits? Hard to believe anyone falls for this anymore.

Info about the car doesn’t match, prices are unreal, car suddenly is somewhere else when you ask to see it.

All hints. Walk away...

Can you tell us the listing for it?
So fellow TMC members can see for ourselves what a scam listing looks like and possibly get it flag it with Truecar.
