My check was sent on 12/30 and didn't get cashed until 1/24.
Sticker was received on 2/4 in brilliant purple. Yuck! Great choice of color ...

I was saved by this very circumstance!
I mailed in SEPT, however I had used a digital signature in mac preview?!?
check rejected my app, drew lines with colored pens, made copies on 2 pages
of instructions, circled applicable verbiage stating such signatures are not acceptable,
and returned this to me in NOV!
so I waited till 1st week on JAN to re apply with hand written signature....
no joy of cashed check as of tonight?!?
Maybe it is just a very large bin. New mails get dumped on top. The person processing it just use a tool to pick out the ones from the button:

Does having ones check cashed mean they are starting the process or have finished the process and mailing out the stickers?
Seems the dates between check cashed and stickers received seems to vary quite a bit.

My check was cashed last year. Just got sticker last week. I was about to call dmv they had my money so long, but then stickers showed up.

Mailed in the application on 1/2, check was cached on 2/5, hoping to receive the ugly stickers next week (i will trim some of the white boarder)

Nope. Got mine fine back in 2016 for my X, and they apparently got my check fine (cashed it a couple days ago) for my 3.
EDIT: saw my first purple stickers yesterday. BOOOOOY are they hideous.

I'm regretting now not doing it certified mail. I remember for my S they never received my first time mail and I had to send it again certified mail to make sure they got it. Seems like a hit or miss with them and the post office.

Downloaded the CA DMV S/S, and found my PO 2015 MS VIN on the list of cars that had been issued a white sticker. So, not eligible after 1/2019. Not into the color purple anyway ..
