So that is corporate and not just the crappy Tesla store I need to deal with. I bought two ev cars last year and each dealership submitted the ev credit for me and deducted at time of purchase - I would have hoped a luxury company like Tesla would do this for their customers to make the purchase experience that much easier.
When I bought my Volt (2012) GM was completely rigid in claiming on my behalf.. Eventually they did.
When I bought my Audi eTron, Audi wanted nothing to do with it. Going as far as claiming, no Canadian dealerships have ever done it. I proved them otherwise: They took care of it ASAP.
Tesla may be a "store", but even stores make exceptions in their day to day business.
My suggestion to Tesla is to work this in over time (if these incentives continue). Today, the way corporate is structured, I believe they are nowhere ready to implement this.
Just my 02¢..
