So that is corporate and not just the crappy Tesla store I need to deal with. I bought two ev cars last year and each dealership submitted the ev credit for me and deducted at time of purchase - I would have hoped a luxury company like Tesla would do this for their customers to make the purchase experience that much easier.

When I bought my Volt (2012) GM was completely rigid in claiming on my behalf.. Eventually they did.

When I bought my Audi eTron, Audi wanted nothing to do with it. Going as far as claiming, no Canadian dealerships have ever done it. I proved them otherwise: They took care of it ASAP.

Tesla may be a "store", but even stores make exceptions in their day to day business.

My suggestion to Tesla is to work this in over time (if these incentives continue). Today, the way corporate is structured, I believe they are nowhere ready to implement this.

Just my 02¢..

I don't know, I get that its irritating but at the same point in time if its something we can do ourselves and allows them to focus on other work to get cars delivered, Im all for it :)

I am just happy to be getting an incentive rebate. Tesla can't afford to give short term rebate loans given their finances. I have bought 3 EV's and have applied for rebates myself for all of them. No big deal and am happy to do it.

I called the tesla 800 number today since the experience with the store here almost made me cancel. After talking to them on the phone, i feel much better but not sure she was fully up on Canada and procedures here. For the trade-in she said tesla will match CarMax quotes - not sure we can do that in Canada. She also said the local stores here should not be giving any info, not sending me links to cancel, etc and all advisors are through the toll free number. She said the stores are for pickup and service. She sincerely seemed concerned no effort was being made to try and keep me as a customer. So the toll free people seem more customer focused.

Looks like a couple 19" wheels are getting assigned? Sure, they are in Texas, but it gives me some hope!

chojn1 Sugar Land TX USA 3/31/2016 4/13 4/13 15365 5/12 Silver Metallic 19 inch Sport RWD

globallyunique Austin TX USA 4/1/2016 4/13 4/21 179xx 5/11 Silver Metallic 19 inch Sport RWD

I placed my order last week but now I am second guessing myself and if it is feasible to have RWD in Ottawa. This will be my daily commuter car coming in from the country to downtown so won't be driving it hard and not in highways but even when you watch the Model S youtube videos of RWD in area with a bit of snow, they keep showing slipping and sliding. So I am thinking I made a mistake not waiting for AWD and should try to make a change to wait for AWD before my VIN gets assigned. Can a Tesla RWD handle residential streets not plowed and have 10-15 cms of snow on them?

I spoke with Tesla and they say it will be fine with snow tires and traction control so I don't know if I am overthinking this or if I should wait. Any Canadian snow drivers with RWD have an opinion on this?

I was able to get a drive in You You’s Model3 in January on snow and ice covered roads (RWD with snow tires) it handled like a champ, and gave me the confidence to order the RWD

Received VIN 29XXX May 4th and just received an email letting me know I've been assigned a Delivery Specialist and delivery location will be Oakville! They had some questions about my paper work which I answered and if all line up, next step will be setting the delivery date!

So exciting.
