Car settled onto parking curb

Last week I stopped in a McDonald's carpark and parked with the front of the car over the concrete parking curb which served as the tyre stop.
When I started to drive off later the bottom of the front skirt of my S75D scraped across the concrete. The car must have lowered itself as I definitely did not scrape when parking earlier.

If you raise it up from the standard setting then stop and exit the car, it will go back to the standard setting when it turns itself off.

Yes, but I hadn't knowingly raised the car.
Maybe this is my problem, because from time to time the car raises itself and I don't know why..

When you raise the car it automatically remembers that location or vicinity of location. If you had raised previously there of within a couple of blocks it automatically raises when you are there again, unless you cancel the auto location each time.

It happens often to vehicles if the clearance is only millimetres to start with, even without air suspension, tyres may cool down and settle slightly, more passengers causes lower car, only 1-2 millimetres but still enough to scrape or even tear off the front bodywork.

this is a well known and common issue, the way I deal with this issue is to back into the parking slot.

I do this almost every time I park.

The problem here is McDonalds........ only time I ever enter their parking lot is as a turn around point on a bike ride, and to use their facilities. I don't touch their "food". your Tesla was clearly objecting!!

Yea, he didn't order the super sized meal. MacDonald's made his Tesla suffer for it.

Another reason not to ever park head-in over a curb of any kind -- never have done it and never will.

What can we say about McDonald's? I wouldn't be seen dead with that near my face, or maybe I would be seen dead It's most appropriate for the lower extremities

Another McDonalds item not found in Australia. Super Sized Meals. 2 litres of Coca Cola in a cup sounds absolutely ghastly.

This happens to me as well. I have a X 75D. I keep it on low, rarely ever need to raise it higher. Often after I park on a level surface the car lowers. Hasn't caused any problems yet..

wow, people still eat mcdonalds? do you have any idea what you are doing to yourself and what you are supporting? i thought tesla drivers knew better.
