Car Sluggish

    Just took delivery of the new model S 75D

    The car came 10% charged so I had no acceleration they told me once it was fully charged I would regain acceleration.

    I have now just got off of the supercharger and I thought that would fix the problem however the car still feels like it has no acceleration.

    Has anybody experienced this? Any ideas?

    You need to check if it is in Valet mode which is done with the mobile app AFAIK. If it is not in valet that is very abnormal and contact service.

    As KidDoc states, I bet they left it in valet mode. That limits the acceleration and believe not allow speeds greater than 80mph. I would call the service center or service hotline and they should be able to remotely access your car and remove the limits.

    What is the definition of sluggish? What is the maximum kW you see on the power meter when accelerating?

    What % did you charge to? What range is it reporting?

    It won't go past about 100, here's the dash and Kw meter at full pedal down.

    My range is 187 - charged to about 80%

    very lame for them to deliver a car with 10% on it.
    For a guy trying to floor it, your average wh/mi is low, so my guess is something is amiss.
    Take it right back to Tesla, and they will probably take great care of you.

    my 80% on 75D when first delivered was at 206 miles. so your number is definitely not right.

    Would feel very sluggish at that kW.

    Look at where the profiles are set on the center console? Right along the top.

    Is there a name? Or valet?

    The dashed lines to the left of the power meter indicate limiting I believe.

    The dotted line indicates max power is being limited. That can happen when cold, when low on charge, or some other reason. You need to have a chat with Tesla

    So many disappointing things with new cars delivered :( 80% on an S75D should be around 220 miles or so, and so besides the Valet question, you might have other issues. Definitely chat to Tesla about this...

    I agree with the other posters, something is up. I have had my 75D down to 10% before with no noticeable change in acceleration.

    Not really, cuz 259 * 0.8 = 207.2 miles assuming no battery degradation.

    80% was an estimate not sure in the actual percentage... but good to know what it should be
