Central TX Waiting Room

Hi! I haven't seen a central TX waiting room thread on here so I'd thought I start one. OD 11/22/21, Profile completion 12/25/21. MYLR MSM, 20", No tow, no FSD. Current EDD Dec22-Mar23. I had a Jun-Jul EDD back in April but it has since moved to Nov22-Feb23 and then to Dec22-Mar23 as it currently stands. Hoping it updates again to a more reasonable time frame. Anyone else experiencing the same EDD jumps?

Ordered 11/2/21 taking delivery in a few days

My new MYLR Tesla was delivered to my home 2 days ago. No temporary tags, no registration was filed. Nothing. I cannot drive my new car because they were too lazy to file the state registration and get temporary tags. This might be nothing more than (severe) aggravation, but here is my other concern:

1. I gave them written permission to drive it, and they were on the road with my car illegally (not registered).
2. Although I was working out of state and didn't see it arrive, I am quite sure that they did not have dealer plates on the car, since they are not considered a dealer by the state of Texas.
3. I was required to insure the car before taking delivery. I believe that my insurance would not cover an accident for a car that, by TX state law, is not supposed to be on the road.

Therefore, in the hypothetical case of a drunk driver plowing into my car at a stop light, couldn't said drunk driver successfully sue me because the car is not supposed to be on the road, and I gave them permission to drive it? USAA likely would say that that I incurred liability for the incident, since the policy mandates that the car be legally registered before driving on public roads.

What do you think, is my reasoning sound? I think my Tesla delivery Specialist might not get that 5 star rating.

Update: I found temp tags in the glove box, not on the vehicle. Still, no registration, title initiated, don't know how that will fly if stopped....
