Really dumb, especially since this issue seems to be pretty damn common, and if it completely fails, you're pretty SOL to charge at home.

Here I am dealing with Las Vegas SC I have a 2018 M3LR same issue.. will probably have to come out of pocket just submitted a ticket

Seems to be happening on my 2023 MY LR. I have a Gen 3 HPWC and my 2016 MS 90D can charge at 40 amps but my MY can only do 32 before it throws an error. I am going to test another charger but it seems like Tesla hasn't gotten the quality control right on these power control modules (PCS)

Nor will they. Much easier (and more profitable) to require customers to pay to replace expensive, faulty battery electronics.
