I noticed that as well ... it begs to question if the incentive is still viable to those who purchased earlier this year.
Ordered MY on 6/9 with the price increase the next day; pure happenstance on timing but I've wondered the same whether the price will increase again eating into any incentive for future buyers.
to those ordering now, are you taking a chance that July 1 applies to delivery/acceptance of the vehicle vs order date?
so for everyone that is putting their MY on hold to wait for program launch, wonder if anyone is willing to take the chance and take delivery
That's the risk / gamble I took ... hoping there will be enough wiggle room in the final incentive language that allows for delivery acceptance, registration, etc. My model Y is scheduled for delivery 8/9-8/29 and I'm presuming NJ will have their act together by then. If they take a hard-stance on order date, I'll probably do what others have suggested an eat the $100 order fee, cancel my existing order, and submit another order based on the 'official' date they want.
Most likely for people who get their vehicle after July 1st, but before the dealerships have access to a system of applying the rebate at the time of sale before it’s fully established.

Of note, I called and asked and the Princeton delivery folks and they told me I would have needed to place the order after the program started to qualify for the rebate. Also, that if I wanted to cancel and reorder, they would not be able to place that new order on the existing VIN, that I would just join the back of the line again. Looks like I have to hope for some backwards compatibility on the NJ rebate or bigger hope for the federal.

Oh geez, that's not looking good for us that ordered before July 1st or whatever the 'official' start-date. Here's hoping NJ shows some grace with the EV rebate or just bite the bullet and go thru the gyrations of canceling and reordering.
I couldn't wait any longer and placed my order an hr. before the price increase the other day. This NJ program and Biden's expansion is too frustrating to wait while Tesla keeps increasing their base prices.

I gave up hope of waiting and found a match in existing inventory. Picked up tuesday from Princeton, love the car.
N.J. wants to pay you to buy an electric vehicle. But it hasn’t said when it will resume doing so.
Electric vehicles remain expensive. New Jersey was offering money back, but that program expired.

If NJ wants to take this program seriously, they’ll raise the threshold MSRP price. Car price(gas and electric) have gone up considerably this year.
i will be happy with them just announcing anything soon, irrespective of price range. this suspense is almost unbearable now.
Which sales advisor did you use? I am trying to find an inventory car but hard to find one these days. May have to go to the store where I can browse the existing inventory list and pick one from there.
