Chill mode is great

I never thought I would use it as much as I have. I prefer using it in city traffic and bad/winter weather. Maybe I'm showing my age but it still picks up plenty fast in Chill for normal driving. It smooths out acceleration and feels more luxurious, wanted to give it some love.:)

like Eco mode in my old Leaf, once I figured out how to modulate my right foot I realized I didn't need it.
Same with the Model 3.
My 18K average is 224 Wh/mi including a whole bunch maximum acceleration tests.
I work on the basis that I bought a Tesla for a reason - but I can exercise restraint 90% of the time.

Not sure that your tires and half shafts would agree with you. :)

Is the powertrain robust enough for the power?
Absolutely, they're designed for the performance Model 3 so a measly 5 second 0-60 is nothing
