Completely power off or power cycle the Model S or X?

Is there another or better way to power cycle or completely power off the car other than Controls -> E-Brake/Power Off -> Power Off? (I already restarted the center screen by holding down the scroll wheels).

My last software update failed, and someone mentioned in the forums that a complete power cycle fixed it for them.

Thanks.

Controls -> E-Brake/Power Off -> Power Off

I don't know if it will help, but Power Off performs a deeper reset if you're careful to leave the vehicle turned off for at least three minutes. This has been useful to me when AP HW1 is misbehaving. After starting Power Off, don't touch the brakes or doors or any controls. Use a timer if possible so you get the full three minutes. After about two minutes you should hear some quiet noises as various systems shut down. After the full three minutes, wake the car again with the brake pedal.
