It is not really difficult to install ... just get them on the phone and they can walk you through it ... unfortunately it probably does need to be your con edison account

I’m not sure that one actually has to have a ConEd account. It’s all GPS based - and I don’t recall having to give them my number.

Also learned on coned site that one can add a second meter for off peak charging of EV. Didn’t know that. Going to talk to them about this.

Did you ever find out about the second meter install cost? It seems to me it must be comparable to or less than installing an EVSE like ChargePoint (in a condo building parking spot) and in the end you get ultra low TOU rates. What did they quote you?

I'm not in that area, but adding a meter can cost about $175 more for my install. It will be highly dependent on location of all the components.

that i you will have to check out with them I am residential ... you get a number of financial incentives

The Con Edison Service Territory includes all zip codes in the five boroughs of New York City and Westchester County, except the following Queens and Westchester ZIP codes:
