Looks like Q3 is almost sold out.

Feeling frustrated. Ordered MYLR on 5/17 for a delivery to Mt. Kisco. Originally I was told end of June for sure, now my account shows Aug. 5th-Aug 25th…Hasnt budged but for some reason, others have ordered just around the same time as me, are shipping to NY & have VINs or delivery dates! UGH 🤷🏼‍♂️
I feel your pain. I ordered on 5/15 and woke up today to August dates, instead of late June. When I test drove, they told me it would probably be September, but after a full month of June dates I’m pretty frustrated.

The biggest problem is, as others have said in here, that the dates mean nothing. If I knew it was going to be another 2 months, then I could plan accordingly and figure out a short-term alternative vehicle. Knowing it’s probably sometime in the next 3-4 months but maybe in the next couple of weeks but probably in the next 2 months-ish is not actionable.

Tesla has avoided encountering severe problems due to the global chip shortage.

I understand everyone at Teslarati are fanboys, but come on, even Elon himself has admitted this to not be the case.

I'm not sure I'm buying this. Just because the date is currently September doesn't mean it's "sold out". Despite Q2 being reported as "sold out" at the beginning of May, many people on here have ordered and received cars after that point. I think this is just a blogger reading September and jumping to conclusions, and not basing it on a leaked Elon email or anything concrete.

Take that story with a grain of salt. I no doubt believe they are selling like hot cakes and demand is through the roof. However, the author points to the "September" delivery estimate on the Tesla website as the single piece of data to justify saying they are "almost sold out". We all know most likely the reason for September is they cannot confidently tell customers they will deliver their MY before the last month of the quarter, which has been commonplace for a while now.

I am really really hopping to get some good news this week... 🤞🏻my EDD has been holding for the past few days now so I hope its finally on a truck on its way over but its been hard getting any more information out of the delivery center here. I don't know how many other Central FL people on this thread there are still left waiting. I've seen some east and west cost peeps commenting but thats it so I don't know... ugh 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Call and ask for Chris Elkins. He was my SA at the Eatonville location and overall he was great to work with.

Honestly, I think most SAs CAN get info on where the shipment is but a) it takes a step or two most don’t want to do because it would interrupt their time surfing TikTok and b) some have been burned when they tell folks “it’s arriving Wednesday” and the transport driver takes an extra 2-10 days! The transport drivers clearly have no incentive to deliver “on time”.

I think we are all good with being patient. It’s the fact Tesla can’t, or won’t, do anything to really manage expectations. Tell me from the beginning my car actually won’t be delivered until August, then actually deliver it in August and I would be fine.
Agree that it depends on the SA and the level of effort they are willing to put in. On several occasions, my SA used the term’ ping the car’ to determine its location. That could only be done by knowing the VIN or some other identifier. Most would not be willing to go through that effort because it is definitely an extra step.

Good info! Mine is supposed to be delivered either today or tomorrow and my pickup appt is scheduled for Wednesday @ 11am at the Rockville SC. Will definitely be calling the SC tomorrow to make sure before heading over there.
I know that my car went to Rockville on the morning of the delivery - the delivery specialist drove it over as he was based in Tysons Corner.

There is hope for all the peeps awaiting delivery at Tysons Corner - there are a ton of MYs stored / being prepped inside the warehouse, and there were 3 trailers parked outside: 2 unloaded, and one being unloaded. I peaked at a windshield sticker of one of the MYs parked in front - the date of manufacture was 6/2/2021. Some of the MYs in back had not gone through prep, but had tape on the windshields with what I assume are delivery dates: "DD 6/14" and "DD 6/17."
