once you place an order, you should have received an email from someone in tesla service center close to you. if you haven't, you can call your local Service center and check who that is. some advisors are very helpful and some are very bad. just note that everyone at tesla is overloaded with work and you might not get quick responses as you want. you or anyone is just one customer out of thousands they have.

Ordered MY White on white, no other options on June 20. EDD was 8/19-9/9. It has moved to 8/26-9/15 today. I’m hoping to have at least a VIN assigned in a month’s time with delivery Aug end. Too optimistic?

yep - checked my account this morning and had the blue button and VIN assigned. wasn't there yesterday on any of the 25+ times I checked .

I have the same specs as Riggs; ordered 7/6, EDD as of this morning is 9/2-9/22. Picking up in Mt. Kisco.

Same here. My trade in expired on 6/30 and when I redid it, my date pushed almost a month in the wrong direction and has never pushed back to where it was. My SA said the same thing, that it wasn’t related, but sure feels like it was…

I think another poster here actually lost his VIN simply because he updated his trade in!

No notification or contact today - just saw the button when opened the account, clicked accept and there was the vin with the new EDD of 7/28-8/3. Yesterday it was 7/30-8/10. Last week it had been as late as 8/25...and I've had September a few times too.

Congrats on the VIN! Glad to see you got it even though your dates were much later last week.
I ordered on 5/8 and had generic October yesterday, but today I am back to the dates moving out 1 day every day for the last week or so - it is staying exactly 15 days away every single day…so frustrating! It really does make it feel like the car is never going to come.
Currently at Aug 2 - Aug 20.

Since I decided to finance the car, got an email this morning letting me know the VIN was available.

Woke up to my EDD range shifting a few days to 8/1 - 8/11. Shortly after 11am EDT got the email... Doing a happy dance!!

Just recently ordered MY, long range, 5 seater, no tow (2 weeks ago) and already have had my EDD moved 4 times (today it’s Sept 10-30). That led me to this site and in reading the replies I see I’m in for a roller coaster ride. Super excited and after my test ride last week even more pleased with my decision to go electric.

Just got an email from my SA saying I got my VIN, sure enough the blue button was there!

For the past week, my date range has narrowed from 20 days down to 12, then kept getting smaller until today.
