I'll be curious to see when EDD's and delivery times go "back to normal" for tesla
Chip shortage to continue for up to 2 years, though Tesla does not seem to affected badly. Fremont is only capable of pumping 500k 3s/Ys yearly and if we go by VIN range( from tracker sheet), maybe about 200k Ys delivered since January, this number could be more in case LR and P have different VIN sequence, impressive number. If Tesla is not able to keep up, clearly the demand is more, back to normal only after Austin starts production.

Well folks, I visited the brand new Knoxville, Tennessee service center/showroom this morning. They were putting the Tesla sign up on the front of the building when I pulled up. It's a pretty nice space, they have a model 3 and Y in their showroom and a couple of high-top desk areas for customers to place orders. They had 4 Model Y Demo vehicles out front, 3 LR and one P model. Along with a LRM3 and a few other models. My kiddos got to geek out in the showroom MYLR and I got to meet my SA, who answered all my questions. Great customer service so far! Side note, they had a sh*t ton of Tesla’s on their lot ready for delivery, which is a good sign. I'll do a quick video and post it to my Youtube for anyone interested.

my delivery was on hold till Aug 23rd. Yesterday it refreshed to say EDD nov 30 to dec 10th. Today changed to sept 7th to sept 15th. I cannot take the vehicle now. Its a Blue Tesly Y long range. Any suggestions on what I can do to Either stall it further or any other suggestions? If someone is ready to take delivery am I allowed to just let them pick it up instead of me?
Sept 7 is my birthday. I’ll take it! The Blue MYLR I ordered on 7/23 has an EDD of Nov 25-Dec 15. Ugh!

This is the first forum I have ever been a part of, and I'll just say, it feels good to have people struggling WITH me, complaining and talking about things makes life a whole lot better 😂
The lack of communication and quality customer service from tesla gives all of us here a common platform where we can guess about wtf is going on with VINs and deliveries. There are times you will be frustrated and you will hate the answers but one thing for sure: you are not alone!

Congrats!

And thanks again for the Tesla #. I learned that my MYLR is in transit from the Texas Gigafactory and should be hitting my local SC on 9/5.

:p

(just messing with you all... it's coming from Fremont... just thought I'd inject some light humor...)

Tesla Gigafactory Texas 25 August 2021 Drone Footage

As per early august rumors test production was suppose to start by mid August and production by October. They deprioritized CT because Y is in high demand, with their unconventional methods, who knows construction and production may go tandem.

Why would they push late July order to January ? Chip shortage or maybe just park there like they did part of 'September Debacle™" and "October Bloodbath™" ?
