Current model Y VIN

Hi everyone. I ordered a model Y in May, I'm in northern CA. It's an MSM/black interior, no tow hook, no FSD. I put the car on hold and then released hold a week ago. Hit the magic blue button this morning and have a VIN: 269437. SA says car was built today. Any way to know by the VIN if the car is brand new? Many thanks, Jeff

Congrats. It's definitely new. My MYLR also has a 269xxx VIN and was delivered 09/17. It was built in Sept 2021.

New car. I just picked up mine and it is a vin of 273xxx. Probably not made today, but definitely this month.

Def not made today lol. My vin is 270xxx and took delivery yesterday.

My vin is 276xxx, looks like we’re crossing into the 70’s so anything past 27xxxx it would be built sometime within the last week?

On the tesla discord, I’ve seen VINs as high as 322.

**Now I’m assuming the url has the vin in it as other url have consistent numbering.

I don’t think 322 is in the VIN number. I took the Ft Myers one which has a 262 in the URL but the VIN is 278xxx and is a demo unit with 486 miles so from others above it’s about 2-3 weeks old which lines up with the usage.

Interesting…you in Mass? I’m in NH and ordered about a week before you and no VIN yet. Only thing extra I ordered was the trailer hitch.
