Good to see someone in Canada getting a VIN! I ordered on 2/8, so hopefully I get mine soon.
I messaged my local store about build date for my VIN. This is what I got back. Would “Hardmatch” mean built to order vehicle or one that was going to be inventory? I mostly wanted to find out if it was built later than 3/1, which I assume it was.

If you asked about build date and this is the response you got, I would call that a “non-answer.”
If it were me, I would write back and ask (a) what the build date is for my vehicle and (b) what does “hard match” mean.

Sure! I know they removed ultrasonic sensors from this configuration. If they didn't add a front bumper camera (or front light cameras) instead, I suppose, I'd reject that car. The car will 100% have HW4 as everything made from Summer 2023 forward has been HW4. whether it has a front bumper camera or ambient lighting is another story
They used to say the cameras looked different (reddish tint and less angled). But is there really any doubt? Haven’t all Model Xs built in the last few months been HW4?
After a VIN was assigned, I received a request to confirm the order for the a configuration. Could it be just for removal of ultrasonic sensors? Or was it something else like a new camera?
