Be of good hope (for your orders.). My actual delivery date is Sept 13. Placed my order on July 6. And, my interaction with Tesla here at the finish line has been very pleasant.

Showed up midday, I checked around 9am and no change. Checked around noon and vin was there.
My EED changed to Sep 5 - Spe 18 from Oct 16th - Nov 5th.

Nice! Best of luck. This gives me hope that improvement is still possible on EDD. Going from September to November to now December has been deflating. 7/1 order date.

How does “home delivery” work? Do they flat bed the car to your house, or have an 18 year old “drive it like they stole it” from the SC to your house?also Austin delivery!
It may continue to bounce around. If not, there is not much flexibility on the delivery date. Tesla allows a few days, but definitely not much more. You always have the option to just put the order on hold; though that may result in even more of a delay than you want.
Good luck to all of us, those who are hooked to checking our dates, I am sure all of us will be bored once we get our car.... hopefully soon.
Tesla has someone drive it. If you live FAR away from the delivery center they likely don’t offer home delivery, but if they do that is when they flat bed it.
In Austin, the delivery center is not at the Tesla SC/showroom location at the Domain. It is a different address a bit more northwest at a “partner“ location. In checking maps, it looks like a big church center parking lot. When I ordered I selected delivery at the Tesla Domain. When I got the notification to schedule delivery, only home delivery was available as an option. I did not want anyone driving our car and also delivery to our downtown location would also likely be a challenge as they just park it and leave.
I changed it to Tesla SC/Domain pickup, but it took tenacity as they kept insisting only home delivery was an option. What ultimately worked for me was calling the Tesla generic number and just getting connected to a random advisor.
