Rideau centre is better than nothing but is a very poor location in general.

It is away from the major highways and in a busy downtown location. The parking lot is busy and paid too. Much better to place it in suburb on the west side of Ottawa near Nepean where the highways meet.

It should have been on the 417 in Carp.
Another in Smith Falls, Carlton Place or Tweed would be nice for most of us coming in from Hog Town!
But hey, we finally got Ottawa, so I guess we can’t complain!
