Do you get anything for free or gift cards when you take delivery?

Speak for yourself, I don't pay a penny for my credit card.

You pay multiple pennies for your credit card every single time you buy something. Prices of things are higher due to the credit card surcharges the merchants have to pay. If you don't see a cash/credit price difference then the price is set higher for everybody than it would have been if sales were cash-only.

At this Mobil it's a hundred extra pennies for every 5 gallons of gas.

My wife is good at negotiating. lol. She basically said, we have two young kids. The carpet mats are a no go. The SA said, if rubber floor mats is what keeps you from buying, then I will throw those in. haha

She must be very good at negotiating... we also have two young kids, but I figured we didn't have too much leverage considering that they have been sitting on my 1k for 2 years and 2.5k for two months

So BMW marked up your car to give you a $50 gift card? This is what I love about credit card points, they aren't free, you are paying for them.

Your first point is right, but I disagree with the second one. Credit card rewards are "free" if you are good at managing your credit and don't pay interest on your card. I have a credit card that gives me substantial cash back on restaurants and travel with no annual fee. I've yet to be charged by the bank for anything (checking fees, ATM withdrawal fees, interest on my balance, etc.).

That's exactly my point. The guy thinks he's being smart by trying to imply that credit card rewards arenta free, as he's assuming that everyone carries a balance like he does. Just because he can't afford to pay his card off in full every month doesn't mean everyone else is in the same situation. Jokes on him lol.

PS I got the floor mats for free as well by negotiating with the delivery specialist that just called me so I'm happy now!
