You'll have to wait four hours at each charger as the lineup of Tesla's will make each one very busy.My wife is driving to Ottawa on boxing day and will be stopping at the port hope and Kingston superchargers. Any idea what to expect on the busy travel day? Will there likely be waits?
They will need to exist first. Also, that was quite a hyperbolic article... "off grid" smh.. good luck powering even a very small Supercharger with a solar array on site. Far too capital intensive to bother, for starters.Wonder how long before we see one of these new Super Duper Chargers installed in Canada? They will need to be backward compatible with the current fleet. Wonder if many of the existing locations could handle the power to be upgraded?
I bet the Swift Current Supercharger with a solar array on the roof will be net-energy positiveThey will need to exist first. Also, that was quite a hyperbolic article... That is going to be tough..... Even if there are only 48 charges a day (2 an hour) @ 50KwH of charge each you are talking about 2500 KwH a day. That has to be one very big roof.I bet the Swift Current Supercharger with a solar array on the roof will be net-energy positive
I'm not holding my breath though. If you missed it, Elon tweeted that superchargers to drive across Canada should be done in 2017. Of course, we probably need to add the customary 6-24 months...

I'd cast my doubt over the claim although I would like to drive to PEI, Halifax, etc on supercharger network someday in the near future. If you missed it, Elon tweeted that superchargers to drive across Canada should be done in 2017. Of course, we probably need to add the customary 6-24 months...

I believe the cross Canada supercharger network will get done, but I would bet on 2019, not 2017 for the last link in the chain. I hope they focus on connecting Quebec out to Halifax first.I'd cast my doubt over the claim although I would like to drive to PEI, Halifax, etc on supercharger network someday in the near future.
