The best thing about that article is the part where a parking enforcement officer walks up to take action, the recognizes the car and forgives everything - before sharing that he is getting one too.

I'd hate to visit Norway. When a taxi driver can afford a $100K car and then a police officer also can afford one - I wonder what cost of living and visiting the country is like? Maybe like going to Hong Kong and seeing a $250 HK breakfast buffet at the hotel like I saw a couple years ago (an 8:1 HKD to USD conversion).

I had the good fortune to visit Norway a couple of years ago, and, yes, it was pricey. One informal cost index is the Big Mac Index; i.e. what does a Big Mac cost in the country in question. As I recall, a couple of years ago it was about $8.00 US. And don't ask about the cost of a beer on tap...

Remember that the Norwegian taxes/tarriffs on ICE vehicles is very steep, such that the Model S is a bargain by comparison (not even factoring in the very high cost of gasoline vs. electricity there).
