So I ordered my MX 5/9 and was guaranteed june but delivery was pushed back to july. they said first week but that probably means end of month. VIN 108xxx.
I got a call from a tesla project specialist today, says they have an exact inventory match on a car someone ordered but did not take delivery of. VIN is 101xxx. says it has <50 miles and is new, not a loaner. same price no discount.
he said the car is in california (where i am) and delivery could take place within 2 weeks. don't even know why it would take that long.
would there be any downside to this? seems like i could take delivery sooner of same car. any differences in vin 101xxx to 108xxx? from what i can tell from the delivery sheet the 101xxx's rolled off the line in may. he said the car has MCU2, not sure about graphite trim.
would my salesperson still get credit? would referral get transferred?
thanks for input.
edit: and did anyone on this board recently refuse delivery of a blue/white 75D in california that was messed up?
