First 60kWH delivery notice or email - who will it be?

Well, my wife and I have sort of insane schedules so currently we are slated for the 26th as that was the next day we both seemed to have off, and I'm not sure if that date will stick or not with our constant schedule changes and such but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I sure hope we won't have to wait longer than that. Would be great to run into someone else from this forum on the tour!

Ceilidh, I would be quite happy to pick up your new baby on the 21st and babysit her until the 26th or later even. Just let me know, I'm there for ya

I would hope we get email this month and take delivery in February

Yep, I'd expect you'll get email sometime this month. Since they are producing at least 400/wk (or more) and going in order now based on reservation numbers. BTW, they better be producing based on reservation numbers (excluding 40kwh and cars without air suspension). I was okay with out-of-order last year (85 kwh) only, but now they need to honor first come/first served...

Keep in mind that TM is still making 85kWh battery cars and that adding a new variable like a new battery pack will most likely impact throughput as will introduction of Sunset Red and normal suspension. So I don't expect the line to be running as quickly or throughput to be as high.

Meanwhile, I'm 9 days away from the start of my delivery window so I can barely sit still.

Don't get too excited. My delivery window started today and I still don't have final paperwork or a firm delivery date.

Too late, I have just about every Tesla syndrome Various Tesla syndromes

and a new one, Tesla Leg Syndrome, which is when you get behind the wheel of an ICE and your leg refuses to push the gas pedal. Also, when you get behind the wheel of a Tesla and your left foot has nothing to do but keep the beat with volume set at 11.

How could that be with your # before mine? Is there something in your configuration that is holding it up? I wonder if your car is farther along than we think but the paperwork is in a different pile on a different desk or something (despite the fact that we would assume this is all electronic records??).

I really hope you hear something soon. Don't see how your car couldn't be ahead of mine in line. Hmmmm.

Cheers.

Congratulations to those who have received either their VINs or solid delivery dates.

I've received an e-mail from my DS (Mac) but don't have a VIN as yet. My range starts on the 15th, but ends on the 29th, so I'm not going to worry about it until the 19th, which will be the 10 day build date. I am confident that they will have it ready on time though.

Ah, this is good insight into delivery window timing as I'm in Seattle, have nearly same build spec, a slightly lower P# but my window ends on the 4th so I'm hoping that accounts for shipping time to be a true delivery window.

The 60kWh could actually be easier to build but without knowing if it connects the same or if throughput is reliant on how fast they can build batteries its hard to tell. If it has the same outward connections and shape it likely won't affect throughput one way or the other.

I told myself I wasn't going to email or bother Tesla, just wait for them to contact me. Then I decided it would be fun to see the Factory, and maybe have a little adventure with the family driving the 60 kWh S back to Las Vegas from Fremont. I checked the distances between SC stations, and it looks like we can make it. The toughest part will be Barstow to LV, but I will feel better as we get closer to home. So I emailed the delivery@ email address to ask about changing delivery, and heard back from a DS within a few hours by email and voice mail. They can make the change, but want to make sure I understand the tax consequences of taking delivery in California instead of Nevada (I think I do, but I'll let the DS explain it to me). Then the DS offered that the car is in manufacturing and has a few more weeks before it gets to the end of the line. At that time he will notify me regarding questions on specific delivery needs and finalize paperwork. I can expect to receive the car at the end of January or early February. My estimate after hitting the delivery button a week and a half ago was January 28-February 11.

I received an email from my delivery specialist on Friday also stating that I sill had no VIN. My delivery window is 1/27-2/10. The anticipation is killing me. In a good way....

Thanks to my super Product Specialist (Andy V) and Delivery Specialist (John S), received the Final MVPA via DocuSign earlier this afternoon!

- Docu-signed it and fired it back rightaway to Andy (who's apparently working on Sunday as well!)
- Initiated a wire transfer of the small balance of the downpayment (owing to the 0.25% increase in CA sales tax on Jan 1st) to Tesla.
- Fired off an email to PenFed (will follow up tomorrow on the phone) with the Final MVPA PDF attached.

The Final MVPA has an approximate delivery date of 01/19/2013! That's next Saturday! Not sure if it'll hold but, I hope PenFed gets their check out to me in time!

My wife and I find all this to be unreal after a long and arduous wait :)

Congrats GG - I know you've been waiting a long time - you are likely one of (if not the) first 60KWh delivery.
