Frunk Opener Struts (Recommendations)

I've been looking into a frunk opener so I don't have to lift up the hood every time, but most of the struts seem to be way too strong and jerk the hood around at the top. Does anybody have a set that they like?? If so please drop the product!

The three pictures say it all. After five months, one of the struts came apart when I opened the trunk, went sideways under force and cracked my rear glass in my M3. The 2nd struct when I pulled it out, has a crack running through the plastic head but had not broken yet.. it was on it's way...

Get an automatic frunk opener and never look back. evoffer is the one I went with.

I was an early adopter for the EVoffer unit so about 2 years now. The initial unit did have some issues however they replaced parts with redesigned parts/materials and tweaked software until they got it right. I must say it has been at least 1 1/2 years now and not a hiccup since. So pleased, I recently installed their appropriate unit in the S.

I did the discount method and bought replacement struts, but (as the OP indicates) they really are a bit overpowered.

Anyone find ones that are less violent?
