FWD umbrella mode in v8.0

Before the 8.0 update, I seem to remember there's an umbrella mode on the touch screen that I could activate any time. I would see both fully open button and the umbrella mode button half way between the full open and close button. I haven't seen that umbrella mode button for a while. Did they remove that in 8.0 or I am not doing something correctly?

I even saw one of Bjorn's videos showing the umbrella mode in action that he could activate in wide open space (pre 8.0)

They removed it prior to 8.0. I think it was removed around July timeframe.

I thought this was a good idea, especially since rain and snow is coming up. I wonder what they are going to do about that...
