Fronts needs to be "soft" materials in EU. So replace the hood/bonnet and front piece with soft materials (blanc coated steel or wrapped).

Once delivered, drive to Tesla and have them replaced. This happend in the US years ago, stupid and ugly large bumpers manadatory to get the car road legal.. Most owners just replaced them with the EU versions.

The Article is from December 19, 2019. I think the structure of the Cybertruck has changed since then, but in any case, I would think they need to see a finished sample, before making such a determination.

Six safety professors and officials, who analyzed crash test videos presented during a webcast delivery event, expressed worries about potential harm to pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles on the road, Reuters wrote in a recently published article.

One of the most important rules that all carmakers who want to do business in the EU must follow, is that the front of the car cannot be stiff, meaning it has to have a proper crumple zone to reduce the impact of the crash.

"Much of the concern was focused on those outside the Cybertruck. "If you have an argument with another car, you will win," Musk said."

gas prices in Europe is focused on pollution & health while in the US it's subsidies for over 100 years.
You might want to back up the sanctimonious train there just a wee bit; Europe, home of VW and all the rest who rigged their cars to cheat emissions testing for years and years and years, so they could pump poison into the air and kill hundreds of thousands of humans prematurely. VW which actually hooked humans up to vehicle tailpipes as experiments and then decided, yeah, we’re going to rig our vehicles to cheat emissions tests and knowingly poison people.

Additionally, one might argue that focusing on pedestrian safety suggests you all might want to learn to drive better and stop hitting pedestrians. Whereas Tesla with their NN/FSD technology focus is trying to take pedestrians and drivers completely out of the equation so nobody gets hurt.

Relax, we all know that both sides of the ocean are guilty of 💩. Take your anger and hatred, and flush it. It doesn’t serve any purpose but to make you ugly inside and out.

Interesting!
When in a high-speed collision, Cybertruck’s front underbody casting is designed to break into small pieces. This helps reduce occupant impact by absorbing & dispensing energy.
This manufacturing simplification is great for manufacturing costs and initial vehicle cost, but, as has been pointed out before, it could have implications on the cost of repair. While a mild fender bender in the Cybertruck may turn out to be rather inexpensive, any collision that transmits substantial amounts of energy to the front casting would likely damage the part catastrophically.

Yep and related to that at least two car rental companies are already planning to clear their fleet of Tesla's related to high repair costs.

This would render the CT immediately illegal to be driven on public roads, resulting in substantial fines for the driver. The issue isn't just that the front isn't sufficiently soft, it's also because the edges are too sharp.
