I'm surprised, and quite pleased, that the EPA is now publishing fuel economy data in Gal/100mi as well as mpg. Also, the window sticker in the Roadster *only* shows kWh/100 mi.
Putting the energy used in the numerator makes cost comparisons easier to do your head. I need pencil and paper to compare costs using mpg. I doubt most people ever compare costs when comparing mpg numbers, they just assume more is better in a linear fashion.
