rdunniii, yes, 40 kWh does come with its own tradeoffs. IMO, 5 years might be a tad early for Tesla to offer a good capacity pack for a reasonably affordable level but, there's only one way to know...

As for CVRP, here's the status; it's June 30, 2012 or until funds run out.

That is a gamble I have accepted. I only drive ~10K miles a year.

If California wanted a real incentive they could just do away with the sales tax. Less bureaucracy expense and more incentive.
