Delivery estimate is Early November - End of November and I can't wait!!!

What can I do to pass the time?!
How do I stop reading every new Model 3 post on this forum?!
How do I stop looking at my reservation even though there's literally no change to expect?!
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY LIFE FOR THE NEXT MONTH!!!!

Anyways, yeah, I'm jus excited and can't wait to get my car.

How did you guys get through the wait from placing order to getting VIN to getting delivery?

Doctor may write you some happy pillls.
Non-stop playing dark side of the moon helped me,
or was it the Jack and coke.
You can reread some of my posts and by the time
you figure them out the car will be there.
Hang out in sports bars.
Surf cooking websites will take the edge off as well.
Order that memory card for you cam, racing shoes was
a big help.

Heh, I went through this too but my wait time was short. My agent found me a unicorn in stock and close to home! That's the P3D-.

How would I pass the time? Same way I did in the years before I could actually afford a Tesla;

1. Video games, namely Star Citizen
2. Reading, including two books relating to Tesla and Musk.
3. Reading this forum
4. Studying the Model 3
5. Configuring my default-option car with nothing to configure about 37 times. Ogling. Dreaming.
6. Reading the Model 3 SubReddit.
7. Watching videos about the Model 3 and Tesla, as well as videos showing the P100D smoking everything in drag races.

Consult your doctor if it lasts more than 48 hours.

Side effects may include:
  • Anxiety.
  • any loss of hearing.
  • constipation (severe)
  • diarrhea (severe or continuing)
  • difficulty in speaking or slurred speech.
  • dizziness or lightheadedness.
  • drowsiness (severe)
  • fast or deep breathing

I think this sums up anyone over the age of 50 that works.
1. fast or deep breathing, we all know what that is
2. loss of hearing, helpful if you have a wife
This is as close to a Lambo that most of us will ever come. Freek out
a little, Crank it up, do the dance, get the hood involved. life is life

  • Plan some routes
  • Install apps like plugshare to understand charging in your area and beyond
  • Seek to understand how much power comes from L1/L2/L3 charging as it relates to your vehicle
  • Buy some controllers for your car to play the games
  • RTFM for the car, it will help understand the features of the vehicle
Hope that's some fun homework!

No cure, may be terminal. Best of luck.

Symptoms include
  • Obsessive reading of forums
  • Seeking out any articles related to Tesla
  • Watching Unlimited hours of YouTube about Tesla
  • Telling your significant other many Tesla facts and news updates
  • Having your friends roll their eyes when you tell continuous Tesla stories
  • Imagining driving your Tesla on long road trips by the sea
  • Imagining beating corvettes at stop light races
  • Checking to see if you have a VIN assigned (refresh....refresh....refresh...)
  • Lack of interest in other hobbies
  • Rewatching autonomy day and battery day
  • The feeling that you need to evangelize and “convert” everyone you know
  • Praying that your delivery experience won’t be a nightmare
  • Installing your charging equipment waaayyy ahead of delivery
  • Feeling gross when you need to fill your ICE car with gas
  • Getting agitated when people spout false information about EVs when you tell them you are getting a Tesla
Note: many of these symptoms can continue well past delivery day and some may be lifelong ailments.

While I was awaiting the birth of my first Tesla, some of my "friends" grew distant. I may have tended to babble. Now that The Good Ship Venus and The Blue Bunny are here, I know my TRUE friends - they stood by my side. And now unashamedly asking for test rides and drives.
Some buy me whiskey.
Two have placed orders.
Like I said, TRUE friends!
Good luck, I feel your pain...

Oh, you’re from LA? Well, prepare for your order to come late in the quarter, perhaps the last few days of the year. Also, prepare to have zero communication with Tesla until the last few days as well.

Fun times ahead, my man, fun times ahead....

There has been a few people here who ordered expecting delivery in a month and getting a call saying they were matched with one for delivery same week. I know a reputable shaman who can cast good luck spells for you and are available for hire.

  11. @LionXng Any accessories you really recommend?
  12. @one2many What.
  13. @RedWhite19 Estimate says Nov. 6 - Dec. 8... So please no... I want it now!
  14. @zhu- I was matched 3 days after I placed order... But my financing wasn't ready so I delayed it... And lucky for me, my patience will get me the new refresh model!

Maybe this will be the best way to pass time...

Setup and install home charging equipment before delivery.
Recommend setting up 240v 14-50 outlet at your home, then use the mobile charger that comes with your car to charge everyday.
The $500 Gen 3 Wall charger has way too many problems now to be recommended.
