I saw this clickbait article A brother and sister had to stop 6 times in 1 day to charge their rented Tesla in cold weather because the battery drained so quickly and thought to myself that's about normal for a ~1400 mile drive.

Where's the story? I get that Hertz wants to make the money renting the car, but maybe some more disclaimer about how often a charge is needed for people contemplating driving cross country for the first time in an EV!

It’s Business Insider. No story - just an agenda.

From what I’ve seen, Hertz has an excellent EV education campaign - better than Tesla themselves.

For what it’s worth, I’d probably stop to charge at least ten times on a 1,400 mile winter trip, but my charging stops would only be about 15-20 minutes, not an hour or more.
