There were about thirty cars waiting for delivery. About nine inside getting/in line for detailing and the rest outside with cars waiting for service (they had license tags so it’s my assumption they were there for service).

I was early and found my car in a bay. I was booted out but not before I got some photos and looked at panel alignment.

At delivery I signed one paper and my delivery specialist, Morgan, showed me a few basics about the car. She was very nice. The car is immaculate and appears to have all its rubber bits in the right place.

I drove home in Chill mode (gotta love it) with regen in “low” and creep off. One pedal driving I found very easy with this setup. I didn’t set up music before driving off so had the whisper of A/C to keep me company. Yeah, no, it was a Beaufort 5 and I needed a parka. I now have taught myself where the climate control is!

Programmed home link and found a model in the glove box:)

I'm in Houston also, still waiting for a delivery date. Good to know that delivery location was smooth. Any plans for window tint and/or paint protection? I'm looking for some good recommendations for places that have already worked on M3s.

Looks amazing! I saw the red when I visited the showroom and fell in love with it instantly.. couldn’t get consensus on it though so had to stick with MS to stay safe .

Yes, John Gray (832-264-0670) is doing tint and PPF. I went to his shop to see the products on cars. There was a 3 there along with a drop dead challenger, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. Nano ceramic will be by David Soleto 832-378-2019. I’ve seen his work too.

Nice pics. Still waiting for my Red with Sport...my config was April 30th.

Congratulations Dana1. Being in TX, did you have to submit all payment electronically before they would ship it? Sounds like very little paperwork hassle. What sort of document did you have to sign? I'm waiting for mine in the DFW area and have heard that things are a little different for us Texans.

Yes, you get a ViN, they confirm your details with phone or in my case, email, then send you the purchase agreement and they open up the payment portal (cash purchase for me), you submit your payment online or through your bank, and they set up a delivery time likely 2 weeks out from that time. My delivery to Houston occurred on the day they scheduled and the FedEx’d paperwork to my house to sign and return (few pages only). Pretty straightforward in the end.

I sent Tesla the USAA DFR and they spent a day trading whatever paperwork with USAA they trade. I signed saying I picked up the car:) my fingers are crossed for a fast delivery for you...I’m happy though bummed today’s rain has cancelled my drive around the 610 loop.

I reserved in 2016,
received an email to design on June 26, 2018
Took a test drive at the Galeria on July 20th,
Submitted my order at 8 pm the same day (July 20),

Received a call from a delivery specialist the following day around noon Houston time, the specialist was calling from Las Vegas. He wanted to “confirm some information about my order”, and once I confirmed it was a cash purchase he advised the car was built and payment would be requested in about 4 days! He advised once payment was complete as required by Texas regulations the vehicle would be shipped from California and delivery would be in two weeks.

If all that holds true (and I hear that is not always the case), my delivery should be in mid August! Stay tuned!

Congrats!
Sounds like your ISA is probably Chris?
He contacted me on 07/02 with the same info you got, my payment was made the same day, I got a delivery scheduled 2 weeks later (07/17), it got pushed a few days later on but got my car on the 20th, so indeed it sounds good for you!

In my case, Chris was quick to reply up to the payment phase, then it was difficult to get any tracking info on the vehicle when it was late, but it all turned out ok at the end.
