How do you lift the wipers?

The wipers park nicely underneath the frunk lid, presumably for aerodynamics. This prevents you from lifting them up to wash underneath. I tried getting the wipers to stop mid swipe so I could lift them, but that's not easy in a car with no real "off" setting.

So, how do you wash underneath them?

I tried lifting them with the trunk open. They only lift a couple inches from the windscreen. Unlike most wipers, they don't have a park setting perpendicular to the windscreen.

I guess there's no intention of letting you get a big sponge or squeegee underneath the wipers. odd...

Yes and here's hoping an upcoming firmware release adds a "Park Wipers on Windshield" option...this is seriously needed for cleaning, de-icing and ice prevention purposes.

Try this:

1. Go to the settings screen with the big "Turn off car" button.
2. Turn the wiper nob to activate the wipers.
3. Hit the "car off" button to catch them up, mid swipe.

I had tried that before posting. The car turned off, and the wipers finished swiping even with the touchscreens off.

I'll have to go back and look, but I'm pretty sure I saw a wiper service mode option in one of the center console menus. I assume this parks the wipers up in easy reach.

Yes - between the time of the original post and now Tesla added a Wiper Service Mode to the Setting Screen via OTA Firmware Update. You select it and the wipers move to about the mid point of their full wipe and remain there.

Yes, I found it as well but you beat me to it. Mine is on page 103.

One thing the manual does not tell you.... The Service Mode will be grayed out and appear non-functional IF YOUR RAIN SENSING WIPER SETTING IS ON. You must turn that OFF (at the stalk). Just a tiny detail the manual does not relay to you.
