How long before delivery did you see your vin?

Delivery scheduled for 6/7, which will be 4 weeks exactly from day of order assuming no further delays.

Still haven't spoken to a single person at Tesla.


I have a delivery set for Friday as well and haven’t been contacted yet by anyone. The only time I talked to someone was when I reached out them last week about my delivery situation with power of attorney. Should be interesting.
 
I ordered on June 1st (non-inventory), was quoted an estimated two weeks for delivery. Received an e-mail on June 4th with the VIN and informing me of a June 12th delivery date. The email came from a Delivery Support Specialist in NV and they've been my point of contact for delivery in NJ. He's been very responsive to my questions over email. I tried for a different delivery time, but they're pretty booked up so I kept the original.

As an update to my earlier post, I received a call from the delivery manager informing me that there were some cosmetic issues identified with the vehicle once it arrived (chips on the front bumper, hood, and window). The hood could be replaced with factory parts, but the window would need to be replaced and the hood repainted. To me that meant it wasn’t a “new” car so I declined delivery. The delivery manager was completely professional and understanding and somehow managed to find another vehicle with the exact same configuration that was delivered within 2 days of the original delivery date - and still within the initial two week estimate. Perhaps it was blind luck, but they handled it very well and I’m a happy customer!

I'm 3 weeks out from my delivery date. Model Y. Got the VIN from the source of the web page and that looks correct, although in looking at the code it looks possible that they can replace the VIN with a different one before delivery given the flags I'm seeing. So, I'd use that VIN with caution. Maybe occasionally recheck it until you get the paperwork.
 
You can find your VIN before Tesla tells you. Using a Chrome browser, download Tesla Vin Finder and add it as an extension to Chrome. Log into your Tesla account and look at the upper right side of the browser for a Tesla T. Click on it and you will see your VIN earlier

I ordered on 5/18 and still no VIN. What configuration did you go with? I ordered the SR with black paint and black interior with the Aero wheels.

LR AWD, silver, black interior, aero wheels. I think I just lucked out with a really good SA. He even just applied the price reduction to my account. Perhaps there was a local inventory car that he linked me to? I would keep on top of your advisor and make sure everything is submitted on your account that needs to be (trade info, payment terms, etc).
