@Miggy thanks for posting the numbers. I’ve been traveling in NZ for a few weeks, sadly have only seen 8 Teslas. Stopped in to talk with the staff at the Auckland Showroom and was told there are “almost a thousand Teslas in New Zealand”. Apparently that was a slight exaggeration. But with the first Model 3 orders supposedly arriving “soon” (I was told) maybe that will be true in the near future!

Thanks I have been following you on Electric Travels great blog about your travels in New Zealand and elsewhere.
My data does not show private imports which is big in NZ this is only new Tesla sales.
Every day I a few Tesla's in my drive but that could be where I live.

There's one or two nose cone Model S' that I usually pass at the same time on the way to work in the morning. Being that they're nose cones they're from the import list since only the refresh was sold new here.

I tend to see more X's than S' in my journeys - NZ has quite the love affair for SUVs and utes!

Tesla Model 3 is the best selling private passenger car for September, add in sales of rental cars and it drops to number 3 with 359 sales.
In brand sales Tesla sits at number 12 with 379 sales for September.
