Ok, so not huge numbers compared with say Toyota Corollas (bleck!) but 2 orders of magnitude growth from 2016 to 2017 and then maybe double for 2018?

I wonder who is hurting the most - Audi, MB, BMW, Lexus?

Hopefully all of them...but I guess we should show some support for BMW (for actually having an EV), Audi/MB second for saying they'll have some soon and least Lexus (still in the stupid Hybrid camp).....

The NZ federation of motor clubs conveniently overlooked how much electricity is generated by renewables. image.jpg

Very happy to see that there are increasing numbers of Teslas in New Zealand! I was just watching an episode from season 3 of “800 Words” and there was a brief shot of a black Model S being driven by a minor character on the show.

In early May Tesla increased the price of all cars including in stock inventory cars by $6,000 this would reflect the low sales.
Then in late May Tesla then reviewed this and reduced prices to what they were.

Hey, quick fun fact - there are now 456 Tesla’s registered in NZ. So we’re going to hit the big 500 either in July or August!

What about oil spills and leaks from ships, overland pipelines and fuel stations. What about petrol tankers exploding on highways (see youtube for over 50 recent examples) what about the toxic emissions from the tail pipe, what about car manufacturers who lie about their efficiency. Where did they get their figures from, what is the source of the data? In New Zealand, Norway, California and many European countries more than 50% of power is renewables.

Interesting that Kona has vanished from the picture. Presumably we’ve used our boatload for the year?

Kona-e 23 sales in Nov with 99 for the last five months.

You could have one for Christmas as there are stocks at the dealers.
