....So what does the Start Charging button do? Does it work on Level 2 only? If only Level 2 then why isn't it grayed out when connected to a Supercharger?
Start charging is for L1 and L2 charging where you probably leave it plugged in a lot. Maybe you have scheduled charging set up and want to start sooner you can trigger from the app.
Bunch of ways I can be useful but not on a supercharger.
Same thing that the "Start Charging" button doesn't do anything. Wonder why it is there. Did it ever work to start charging or is it new (don't remember but don't think it is new) and yet to be implemented?
I'm getting this crazy sense of deja vu, as if a question had already been answered and then was asked again.
Yeah, it's useful sometimes when you have a car plugged in at home and maybe set for a late scheduled time, like 1:00 AM, but you decide you want to make it go ahead and start earlier.
But on a Supercharger, there is no such thing as that. You don't get to let it stay plugged in and not charging and decide to make it start at some later time. The Superchargers are for people to get filled and get gone, so they are always active when they are plugged in.
So yeah, that button should probably just be greyed out when it's on a Supercharger, but that's a pretty low priority user interface thing for them to bother with.
