At first I was going to say "Oh come on guys, it can't be that bad!"

As incredible as it may seem, the interviewer is the daughter of Tim Draper, the founder of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. I don't know whether it's just meant to be silly, but it makes me uncomfortable.

To us, but as a chance to get the Tesla and SpaceX names out in front of kids who will be buying cars ten years from the show's air date, it's not a bad idea.

And I think that about covers it. She's the daughter of a major investor & it was done a few years back when Tesla was not exactly a household name - getting the name in front of kids was not a bad idea. Nor was it a bad idea agreeing to do an interview with the daughter of one of your investors.
