That seems to have calmed down - not because the design has changed, but because the Newness has worn off.

I just think most of us know that Part 2 of the reveal will occur soon enough and anything could change.

Seriously, I know that body design isn't going to happen.

I'm glad that Elon has addressed the issue of the Model 3 trunk accessibility, but very curious as to what has changed compared to the prototypes. We won't know until Part II of the Model 3 reveal, which I assume will be before the end of 2016.

My guess is that Elon and Tesla knew before the unveiling they would get a lot of negative reaction to the small opening and lack of a liftback so had already started work on a larger trunk opening.
This would help to explain why Elon was so quick to state they would improve accessibility.
