Just keep in mind that the people with negative opinions are always more vocal than those with positive ones. Those of us overwhelmingly pleased with the design perhaps outnumber those that are not and maybe Tesla realizes this.

I sure hope not, because that is a really unattractive body shape.

Seriously, I know that body design isn't going to happen.

I'm glad that Elon has addressed the issue of the Model 3 trunk accessibility, but very curious as to what has changed compared to the prototypes. We won't know until Part II of the Model 3 reveal, which I assume will be before the end of 2016.

My guess is that Elon and Tesla knew before the unveiling they would get a lot of negative reaction to the small opening and lack of a liftback so had already started work on a larger trunk opening.
This would help to explain why Elon was so quick to state they would improve accessibility.
