Is it normal for my 2023 RWD to have a 980 motor?

I have a 2023 Model 3 RWD built in Fremont in December, and I just discovered that it has a 980 motor. Is that normal? I thought Tesla were only using 980 in the Performance and were using 990 or 1780 in the cheaper cars?

More specifically, it’s the 3D1 variant of the 980 motor.
I am taking delivery of a Freemont built 2023 Model 3 rwd on Tuesday June 12th.

Where did you take that picture from?

I would like to look to see what type I get!

Thank you.

Looks like you can add 50 HP if you have the 980 motor. Needs to have the correct weight battery too.

From behind the rear left wheel. I turned flash on and started recording video, then stuck my phone back behind the wheel.

Needs to have the correct weight battery too.

You throw that in as if its not relevant, but that aftermarket / non Tesla module is not at all relevant for any 2023 RWD tesla model 3 in the US since they all have LFP batteries now.

Its only relevant for older SR+ cars, and since this thread was about 2023 model year RWD Teslas, that makes that part not relevant to anyone with that car.,
