Is uncorking 75D unfair to 90/100D owners?

Ok so? None of your post addresses ohmmans post .... which said nothing about a subsequent owner's warranty. Just subsequent owners knowledge of vehicle history. But to address your tangent anyway - the thing is, you don't necessarily get a warranty when you buy a 3,4,or 5+yr used car from AutoTrader, eBay, your local car lot Etc. And not everyone buying used buys a "certified" w/warranty type used car. whether it's a Tesla abused - or a 1970 pickup that's abused, it's like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get - so you do the most due diligence that you can.
:)
ohmmans comment was to a suggestion by KarenRei for Tesla to offer performance upgrades which explicitly void the warranty. You should always pay attention to context. :)

As for the tangent, every non-salvage used Tesla (except some of the original 40/60 Model S) is sold today under at least valid drive-train warranty. Folks assume that unless there is a salvage title involved, the warranty on a drive-train is 8 years/unlimited mileage. So it's not just abuse, it's the owner specifically waiving warranty on the car. Most abuse you can tell by examining the state of the vehicle, but you can't tell if the owner waived the warranty so Tesla would have to keep track of it, if for no other reason than to know whether the car is covered if it shows up for a drive unit replacement.
