Is your refresh X blowing air out of the 3rd row air vents?

So I figured out with a tech that if the front AC is blowing, the 3rd row vents blow proportionately to the front fan speed. The third row should be tied to the rear fan speed but it seems the SW is misconfigured. He's filing the bug. In the meantime at least there's a way to get cool air back there.

I dropped off my Model X to get this repaired before trying to search to see if it's a common problem. Their update: "After further investigation we confirmed that the 3rd row vents are not designed for blowing air, they are for airflow ventilation only. The flow can change, depending on the speed of the vehicle, or which other vents in the car are turned off, turned on, or which direction they are pointing."

Update when I picked up the car today: the service rep said only the driver vents, passenger vents, and rear vents on the rear console shown in this image of the owners manual (items 1, 4, and 5) are for blowing air and the vents on the B and C pillars (middle and rear rows) are for "airflow ventilation" only.

PSA to all in this thread:

I had my 2022 Model X Plaid fixed for this exact same issue. It is NOT within spec for the 3rd row vents to not blow air; I was able to fix this with an in-service appointment which confirmed that the 3rd row ventilation was not connected properly. It works properly now.

Given this, I suspect that their production line dropped the ball and did not connect the airflow vents correctly when putting together a batch of new Model X's in the past year. It's a shame to hear that some service centers are straight up telling incorrect info to MX owners here.

Good luck everyone.
