Really depends on what the car is.8) finally, of course, Hypercar doors:

Really depends on what the car is.
If it's to be usable as a daily driver, then from first hand experience of using an i8, they are a pain in the ass.
Seems to be a mix on here. Some wanting an all out poster car that hangs on a teenagers bedroom wall. Others would like something more usable.
I'm in the latter camp.
Normal doors, lighter pack, more focus on it being a driver's car that could also be pressed into service as daily transport.
In 3 1/2 years of Roadster ownership, what you describe has never happened to me.Make sure the new Roadster's doors don't forcibly close on your legs while you're trying to get into the car, like the original car's do.
Really? Mine close as if I'm parked on a slope. There's no "detent" to hold them partly open, so you have the whole weight of the door pushing itself closed. The only benefit is that you don't have to actually push on the door to get it closed, which I suppose can be handy if you have something in your hands. Just get out of the way before it knocks you back in. I continually have to remind my kids not to slam the door.In 3 1/2 years of Roadster ownership, what you describe has never happened to me.
My 1.5 Roadster doors work like...car doors. I open them and they stay open unless I close them.Really? Mine close as if I'm parked on a slope. How is yours different?
I would like to see some thoughtful integration of a Lidar jammer, radar detector and cameras, or at least the wiring infrastructure.
