Lifetime Free Supercharging

Hello All,
Not sure if htis is the right spot but here it goes:
We are thinking of selling our 2016 Model S with lifetime free supercahrging to a private party and want to make sure that it WILL be for the new owner as well.
What lifetime means, right?

I have lifetime free supercharging on my 2020, but it is only while I own the car. Tesla has also introduced in the past offers for you to sell the lifetime free supercharging back to Tesla for money, and will transfer several years of free supercharging on a new car. If you did this, there would not be any free supercharging on your car remaining. Also, Tesla may remove the free supercharging if it ever is in their legal custody, or if the car is "salvage". In your case, it is likely that the supercharging will remain if you sell the car yourself and it stays out of Teslas hands.

Are you the original/first owner of the car? If yes, then yes, it will transfer no problem.

If not, maybe. More complicated in that situation.

Yes, we are first and sofar only owners. just read on teslerati that you can actually transfer your freetime supercharging over to a new vehicle as long as its before year end. Might be interesting
