I don't know about that.. Tesla sales are a flyspeck compared to the major auto companies and the Consumer Reports reliability results probably had auto execs high-fiving each other. Perhaps they should be afraid of Tesla but I doubt they are yet.

Unveiling should be 2weeks before the naias 50,000 reservations before opening of naias. The rest of the auto industry would finally get it. Bye bye ice.

That would mean opening reservations at the beginning of January (NAIAS is mid-Jan). Not gonna happen.

I have to say that Model 3 is probably the car that I have the most anticipation for -- ever.

I have wanted to get away from gasoline powered automobiles for some time, and Model 3 should be the first no-compromises electric that will be within my financial reach when it releases in a few years. As a Tesla Motors shareholder, I'm excited because Model 3 is also the culmination of Elon's "secret plan" to bring a no-compromises EV to mass market. A successful Model 3 launch will mark the beginning of Tesla's transition from boutique mass manufacturer to a large brand.

I am thinking that with good luck, I will own a Model 3 somewhere in the 2018-2019 timeframe.
