Even shows traffic signals. Very nice.

Yep..... Sucks....

Paid for FSD (2.5) when purchasing the car back in 7/2018...

Promised the 3.0 and still sit in the waiting room with no idea when it will happen...

Just disappointed that we early adopt to help push the cause and get left out of further developments or enhancements on soft until Tesla can catch us up... Text reading / voice commands / Twitch / etc are very nice and very welcome, but not having the preview makes me feel a little disappointed....

Yeah, I get the fact that it doesn't effect the car's ability to deliver.... But, Tesla knew this day was coming and still hasn't a very clear picture of getting the hardware updated.

Us 2.5 owners will get our retrofit. Enjoy your car and the upgrade will come starting Q1.

Not only that, but with the way tesla iterates on things I actually am happy I havent gotten the retrofit yet. The longer they push it off, the more likely I will get some iterative version of the hardware thats slightly better than the ones people got delivered in 2019. Since tesla does not wait to do updates, this is entirely possible.

The ONLY worry that those of us with HW2.5 who have purchased FSD should have is that tesla would somehow go out of business before performing our upgrades. I dont think that is going to happen, so, unless someone is chomping at the bit to be able to see trash cans and cones, its better for us to get it later than sooner, impatience notwithstanding.

A bit of a disappointing update...

Car thinks everything but an actual garbage can is a garbage can. Lots of mailboxes show a such, a person, a water pressure washer someone was using....

Doesn't recognize bike lanes near me at all. Actually were some bikers in them and didn't even show the bikers.

Stop lights lose the signal indicator (color) when you get to the intersection for most around me. I wonder if the angle is too great and it'll never be able to read them when you actually pull up to them (too high) in my area.

It indicates at stop signs a stopping line. If you were to stop there in my area you would never be able to see any cars coming cross traffic and actually be able to pull out.

All this does is show how far from anything usable for FSD we are off highway.

And messages doesn't work if you use Google Hangouts sms messaging. Making that useless for me.

Love getting updates. And may be some big improvements for some. I now we love to praise the behavior of updates and Teals overall. But for me, I found this to be very weak sauce and reduces confidence.

First drive this morning with 40.50.1 ... visualization sneak preview is very interesting. Spotted by the car on the drive:

-- Stop signs (of course) and stop lights (showing correct red/amber/green so far as I could see)
-- Railroad crossing, and picking up "X" warning markers on the roadway before the crossing
-- Pedestrians in a parking lot (seems to be much better then prior detection)
-- Lane arrows on road (left turn, right turn, merge, freeway exit and turn-lane markers etc)
-- Malboxes (really!)
-- Santa (ok, just kidding on this one)

I also felt oncoming cars were a bit better realized than the prior release, but that might be imagination on my part.

Holy crap. you're right. I looked at my dash cam videos and about 25% of lights in my area are not visible when stopped at the light. So FSD in the city will never be possible in the cities with the current camera set up.
