Melbourne to Darwin road trip, how feasible

Hi
New Member and wanting to know if it is feasible to drive from Melbourne to Darwin and location of charging stations ?
Any info. appreciated.

Thanks
Yes, BUT…from Clare in SA to Darwin you need the correct 3 phase EVSE such as a KHONS or Juicebooster, you need to study the Plugshare map and comments at all charging locations, and you need patience. ABRP will not help you, it requires Plugshare combined with planning.

And if you want to do it you are best joining TOCA (Tesla Owners Club of Australia) who have a loan scheme for some of the charging tails and equipment you might need.

Note that by feasible, you need to be prepared to spend hours charging at each point.

The recently announced Fed Govt funded Arena/ NRMA network will put DC chargers on this route, but rollout will likely take years.

Yes, I second this - the portable 3-phase EVSEs cost over $2000 so it's well worth the cost of membership to be able to borrow the extensive remote area charging kit for a trip like this.
