After talking with the service center and being told that delivery of my MR before the end of the year was looking unlikely (ordered 10/21) and seeing your post, you convinced me to jump the LR RWD too -- 4k more for me. They had two available in my configuration in Austin, so I assume others in TX will have no problem changing if they want.

I'm in Dallas Texas and placed the order on 10/19. I've been in touch with Gallery Specialist and he found a LR RDW with same config but I didn't pull the trigger since he said he was VERY CONFIDENT that i will get my care by end of the year... Not sure why your REP said that...
I got 2.69% on 48 month loan thru B of A...I think rate was 3.14 right now, -.25% for carrying a savings account with a certain amount of money in it for last 3 months, and another discount for going from 60 to 48 months.
In LA, ordered 10/18. Still waiting. It’s tough looking at the excel spreadsheet and seeing my name with the longest wait days next to it.
I can't say for sure, but that's what happened in my case. When I asked why the VIN that you mentioned while you were changing my order is different from the one that I got now, he said they try to match you based on availability. Not sure how that works.

No news till yesterday. Yesterday, I got a call from Tesla Sales. Was hoping for some good news, but they just called to ask if I had a referral code for free supercharging. They didn't have a delivery date for me yet. Back to waiting.

Same here John, no news yet. Chose the same set-up that you did. Hopefully we see the Bay Area shake loose soon.
I am from Dallas area and I will be picking up my car tomorrow. Order date was 10/20. The process is different in TX but not a big challenge. I was able to get everything done in a day.
The car has been at SC for a couple of day (I wish they had called me), so they agreed for me to pick up sooner

Picked up MR model 3 today black/black/aero/EAP from SC.
The center console near cup holder was totally scratched up. Service is gonna put an order for replacement.
The front dashboard is totally dirty with bits of vinyl or whatever material they use. Didn’t notice at the time so gonna clean up by myself today. Hopefully no other issues.
Wasn’t rushed since I had 10.30am appointment and all the staff were easy to work with. They helped me understand everything from charging to driving to Bluetooth and profile setup etc etc. There were many deliveries during the day scheduled every 30 minutes.
I still have to check finer details on seats and stuff but it was raining when I picked up and will check more on Sunday when it’s sunny and a bit warm.

Congratulations! I ordered on 10/24, hopefully will hear next week from Tesla. I'm in Dallas area too but my chosen interior is White :-(

What is the car build? (Paint color, etc). I’m in LA, reservation holder, and placed MR order 10/21...still showing edit button
Made the switch from MR (blue, aero wheel, no AP, black interior) to LR RWD this morning. Originally placed an order for MR on 11/4 (non reservation holder). Called around to 2 difference sales centers, first place said they were able to locate White, black interior, upgraded wheel, no AP. Was iffy about spending more on wheels. Called to a second sales center, oddly the guy I talked to said they didnt have any LR RWD. I hung up and he called me back 2 minutes later saying actually they did. I ended up getting my original configuration but LR RWD for 3k more. My sales guy was very helpful and even helped to switch a family members order from LR AWD to LR RWD right after my call with him.
I have a delivery date of 12/13!
The sales guy told me the cost break down between the different models (base price) is as follows:
MR RWD 46k
LR RWD 49k
LR AWK 53k

Yes, my OA is in Mission Viejo. I went to the Brea showroom on Saturday. They referred me back to MV. I don’t know if it is because they wouldn’t mess up whose customer or just too busy (it was the Saturday after Black Friday.) But my OA and her colleague at MV was super helpful. We even booked the delivery time right there!
Sorry for the late reply. Had so much fun driving and exploring everything! This car is amazing!
