My VIN shows up! I guess I need to let them know I am using 3rd party financing as it shows I am paying off the full amount. Haven't heard from a delivery advisor yet.

I'm in the same boat! It wants my money, but no DA yet. It's supposed to be delivered on Monday, so I hope to hear soon, as I don't want to have to worry about getting in touch with the credit union and dealing with that over the weekend.

Same happened to me. Same delivery window, same configuration. Also in LA area.

Same thing just happened to me with the same configuration. I am in the OC area so close to you. This is what I was told by the Local Tesla Delivery Specialist:

"We schedule delivery appointments based on when our support teams expect a vehicle that matches your requested configuration will be available. Our support team has confirmed they have not yet received a matching vehicle and is estimating that a vehicle with your configuration will be available within this month."

If using 3rd party, it should be asking for the Lienholder name and amount. From there you can bring the check from the 3rd party to delivery as payment. If it's not, then you must have specified paying in cash as payment method.

And between tomorrow and Sunday, your VIN will show on main account below your RN. (It's hidden until 5-7 days prior to delivery. It was likely there until you had a delivery date and then disappeared?

Probably. I got a call today because my car is now scheduled to arrive after my delivery date, so they had to move my date, even though I got a confirmed delivery appointment email this morning.

Thanks Andy86700 and gecko10x for the responses. I've reached out to my DA - I'm not holding my breath - setting expectations low.

Seeing the lot today - two large car-carrier trucks that has just unloaded, nearly every square foot of the large lot absolutely covered in model 3s - it really put into perspective the herculean effort to try to deliver so many cars in so short a time. However, it doesn't give them a free pass on the poor communication. I'm going to continue to keep the faith that my Tesla will be delivered by EOY.

Had my delivery date set to tomorrow 12/13 in the LA area. Heard from you guys that you were getting postponed. Called them. They told me not to listen to hear say and wait for my contract later today. Behold a text saying delayed to the 17th outside what my delivery window even was. Canceled work tomorrow for this since they said everything was fine. Real annoying. Also the Delivery Advisor keeps thinking I haven’t accepted my trade in offer when the computer says it and I told her on the phone already. Really weird.

I initially had a configuration for a LR and VIN but had it changed to MR on 11/27 to meet the 11/30 deadline for end of year delivery (I don’t drive that far for work so MR makes more sense). For the past two weeks myTesla webpage shows configuration for MR which is great just pending VIN and delivery date. I received a delivery text a few days ago for this weekend so I was all excited but needed the MVPA to finalize the loan. When I spoke to my delivery advisor yesterday he assured I should get it probably some time today and also re-assured that my configuration was for MR.

I checked myTesla webpage a few hours ago and I get the MVPA and it’s for my old VIN (LR) and the sales price is for a few thousand more. MyTesla webpage shows the old LR VIN and LR configuration now. How could this have happened. I never requested anything to be changed back to LR. I gave up the LR almost 3weeks ago and had a successful configuration change to MR (still have email from 11/28 to prove it). My Delivery associate was out today but I really hope he calls me tomorrow. He has been fantastic to work with so far so hopefully he can rectify the situation. I have no idea what my options are now. I really was looking for the MR and the $7500 tax credit. How could this have happened, makes no sense.

Should I be worried that I have a VIN (got 1 week ago), a delivery date for this Sunday, and when I went by the Tesla lot today looking for my VIN, my car isn't there yet? How quick is their turn-around for arriving cars? (The lot was absolutely packed.)

I picked up my MR (black/black/aero/EAP) from Cleveland Tuesday. I checked the lot Saturday and found it... but it took a lot of searching. It was actually on the right side of the building behind a white garage (left side when viewed from the street). I didn't realize there were more cars back there. I spent about an hour searching the entire lot (there were cars everywhere) and went inside to ask. They didn't know and told me not to worry (although they didn't check anything). They said it was either out there or would be and to expect a call within 24 hours of the appointment (they called about 11am Monday for my Tuesday 4pm appointment). They did tell me that cars about to deliver are more likely to be on the left side of the building (when facing the front of the building from the street). That's what had me search again over there and realize there might be more cars in the back and walk there.

See the attached photo. I found my car in the red area. There's a temporary tent there which makes the path back there narrow and not obvious to explore. The satellite photo is interesting because there is so much unused space. As you saw, cars were jam packed in there so tightly it was hard to walk between them and they'd have to move the cars to get them out. It was incredible.

They also said their charger station was damaged Monday because someone hit it with a car or ran over the cable or something. This left them with interior chargers only. Mine was only 30% when I took it. There was a guy from Michigan there that had to drive 3 hours back home and needed a full charge, so I wasn't about to complain. I had a 20 minute drive and a supercharger station near my house (Macedonia).

I hope yours turns up soon. Let us know how it goes. It's worth the wait. I've never been in a Tesla and am loving it. My wife and kids are impressed too. It's a great car and a lot of fun!

Something to try if you're waiting at the SC for your appointment and they are behind schedule. Run the app and log out and then log back in. Apparently (?) the app will recognize your vehicle once your appointment time passes. My appointment was at 4pm. I didn't get taken back until 4:45. I didn't know this, but it sounded like I could have logged out and back in and then the car would have shown up at 4:01pm. Something to try for fun if you're sitting there waiting.

For what it matters to Canadian/Vancouver folks, I just received the following text message:

“Your Model 3 delivery appointment has been tentatively scheduled for 12/31 at 6 PM at Vancouver Service Center. Please visit www.tesla.com/teslaaccount to complete all Checkout items prior to delivery.”

Current owner with a reservation made in line, ordered Oct 20, white interior

Similar situation here but I had the advantage of the LR being assigned at the beginning of the month. I kept calling until I think they got sick of me and kicked it into gear to fix it and I now have a scheduled delivery for a MR on the 18th. I would be a squeaky wheel and make them get you a MR given your request was pre 11/30!

Me too but got a tentative date for the 30th at 8am (early much) white exterior white interior mid range. Hopefully our dates get bumped up a bit. I also ordered on October 20th

I called Tesla 3 times today when I found out what happened. I am really hoping my DA is in tomorrow, he has been great and hopefully he can assist. Tomorrow will be the 13th and I really want an MR by the end of the year, I don’t want the LR which is why I changed it on 11/28 to beat the deadline. I hope this doesn’t ruin it. Nothing was changed on my end, just still at a loss how this happened.

Not to panic anyone here but there was a trailer truck with Model 3s and either S or X on it on I-5 near Gustine, that overturned just this past Saturday, cars everywhere and the trailer upside down. Someone posted about it and found a video from someone's dashcam showing it (not happening but the aftermath). The trailer was headed southbound on I-5 according to the guy with the dashcam. Definitely several people's cars are now going to have to be replaced before delivery. Hopefully no one here but sometimes stuff happens that the delivery centers have no control over. At least with what? 6-7K? being produced weekly those orders should be replaced fairly quickly.

Some of you might need to wait longer for your model 3

Just some friendly delivery advice. I received notification for home delivery last week by email. I emailed that advisor asking to pick up at a service center. No response. I called, no response. Emailed and called again, same result. Frustrated and starting to worry as my delivery was approaching, I called the main number on my account and within 5 minutes spoke to someone who changed the delivery and moved it up a day.

If you have delivery questions don't wait for a delivery advisor. Just call the main line.
