Ordered 11/6. Just got the VIN! Estimated delivery is next week.

Extremely excited. How does the trade in, final payment, acceptance line up?

I assume I wire the money before I go pick it up and trade in? What if I find defects once I bring it home and have already accepted delivery?

Once you wire the money in on delivery at home or at the delivery center you’ll take lots of pictures of any issues you have with the vehicle and schedule them for service in the first 24 hours. The service will be scheduled through the app and you’ll upload all of the pictures of any paint or gap issues.

I called to have them add my trade and asked about the TBD delivery. I seems that they're going to deliver to my house instead of me having to go to Colorado Springs to pick up. The agent I talked to said car is set to be at the Nambe NM service center on the 14th and should deliver within a few days after that

What number did you call? I got a VIN but haven’t spoken to a DA yet. (SA yes but they are just at the show room. Would love delivery to the house but do they also do trade in at house?)

Hang in there!!!! I don't know if this actually did anything but it seemed too much of a coincidence. I emailed my delivery specialist (if you dont have one just go to tesla and chat in) And I asked if they could lookup any more info on delivery. Literally 2 hours later the app updated with a "Schedule your delivery". Again, this could just be coincidence. OR they saw my email, looked into my account and forgot to do something that triggered the change. So maybe email / chat in and see what they say, then refresh the app.

@EV70 Since I work 2min from Tesla and drive by their new lot twice daily, do you want me to keep an eye out on your order and give you a heads up when it comes out? It should't be too hard to see. They only have a few thousand cars spread all over the place at all times. J/k. Hope you have better luck with your 2nd order. At least you don't see all these new Teslas on a daily basis like I do. Imagine that AND waiting for months. That would be painful.

Yeah, that would be even harder seeing all those damn cars every day.

I’ve learned a lot from all these posts and updates over the last couple of months and I’m fairly certain I will get bumped on this one too by next week, but I feel more optimistic about this one.

In the manual. it says you need to drive about 25 miles first to calibrate the cameras:

Learn about Autopilot and its specifications.

Put it on a well marked highway and drive about 10-12 miles and it will probably calibrate quickly.

I would also hold down both buttons on the steering wheel to reset the computer. Hold them both down until everything goes black on the screen - in a minute or two everything should restart. You can actually do this while driving as well -- but I would recommend making sure you're parked in a safe location. This could also help.

Like many I was expecting this but still frustrating. At least it’s still showing this month I guess.

Saturday treating me right with a surprise VIN number. Hope everyone waiting gets movement soon.

You have 100 miles / 24 hours to Spot any defects..

So when I did my order a asked to pickup from a Tesla location, there all over Texas, heck I have 3 within a 15min drive from me. BUT they said they don't do any store deliveries anymore, so they're driving it to me. I thought this was odd - But it's Tesla they do everything weird and cool. BUT this means, I have to accept delivery without actually looking it over. ALSO it's coming to me with miles on it (probably around 30) Not a deal breaker but I wont be the first person to drive it on a road and that's kinda a bummer. Hopfuly I can watch the video of the drive to me. That would make me feel better.

But back to your question - You have 24 hours / 100 miles. So look it over Carefully and report / take photos ASAP.

I have only heard good / reasonable things from tesla. So I would think you'd be fine even outside that window, but other dealers have engrained in the buyer a lack of trust. So I would play it safe.

Luckly i'm taking delivery on a Sat and will have all sunday to review it. HOPFULY. Good luck!

I just called the number for my local SC that seems to actually go to a central Tesla call center. I went thru the prompts to get to sales. I didn't request home delivery, they did that on their own. I think they're doing it because the local SC was supposed to do deliveries but there's some issue with sales tax because it's located on tribal land, so they're not delivering from there yet. As far as I know they'll pick up the trade at the time they drop off the new car.

Well I can't believe this. I was looking at inventory and saw a M3 LR Blue/White, Aero w/ FSD. Called and asked if they could remove the FSD and they said, "Yes." It's not a 2022 and it's a Demo w/ 700 miles on it but that doesn't bother me since I'm leasing. Still has wireless charging and range of 350+. All-in-all gonna cost me $25 more a month. Had the vin assigned and pick up is scheduled within 3 days after 12/12. Pretty excited.
